BeingME

BeingME is a support, and peer discussion group that confronts issues important to MTFs as well as those who may be exploring their gender identity, while helping them to learn about and understand  themselves. Examples of discussions we have engaged in have centered around our feelings of loss, rejection, victories, guilt, fear and societal acceptance or denial of us. While  BeingME is not a therapy group, we attempt to deal with issues concerning the inner development of the person, allowing and encouraging self exploration during the transition journey.

While we offer a safe environment and an opportunity to meet others like ourselves, BeingME is not a "sex group" or place to "hook up". If that is your goal, BeingME is not for you.

BeingME is open to all MTFs as well as those who are exploring their gender identity, their family members, significant others and loved ones.  If you or someone you know would like to attend, we meet on the 1st & 3rd Friday of every month from 7:30 to 9:30 P.M.  Reservations are not necessary.

·        7:30  to 8:00 P.M. – Social Time

·        8:00 to 9:30 P.M. –  Formal Meeting

·        9:30 to Whenever – Coffee, Desert & Fellowship

There is no charge for attending, however we do ask for a small voluntary contribution from those who can afford it.
